Thought provoking and current the series expresses humanity lost in self absorption and fear made all too real given the pandemic response, exposure of systemic racism and society's growing loss of compassion and empathy. I contrast the dark theme with vibrant color pallets, and combine drawing and painting in layered iterations using hard pastel, charcoal and oil pigment.
